Yuken: Hydraulic specialist has accumulated a wealth of practical and technical expertise. From humble beginnings, our company dates back over 90 years to 1929 when Uichi Yuki founded an automobile repair shop in Tokyo. By 1940 the repair shop had become a successful manufacturer of hydraulic equipment, producing hydraulic honing machines, hydraulic vane pumps and various types of hydraulic control valves.
The company rapidly grew, becoming Yuken Kogyo Co. Ltd in 1956 with the Fujisawa factory built 4 years later, in 1960. The Taiwan Hydraulics Mfg. Co., Ltd. was founded as a joint venture 9 years later, quickly launching the Research & Development Center. The Sagami factory in Kanagawa Prefecture was built just one year later, with the company launching on the stock market in the same year.
Yuken continued to develop hydraulic products and founded a further 11 ventures around the world, including Yuken Europe Ltd. in 1980, with the latest founded in just 2013. Over this time Yuken: Hydraulic specialist and our innovative products are continually recognised as an industry leading brand, utilising both regular and specialist applications around the world.
