Yuken and its products are recognised as an industry leading brand, utilised in various regular and specialist applications around the world.

We supply standard, off-the-shelf products but at Yuken, we will always go the extra mile to understand your needs and provide solutions which will allow you to meet the increasingly tough challenges that we all face.

Our company dates back to 1929 in Japan and in 1980 Yuken Europe Ltd. was founded. During this time Yuken has accumulated a wealth of practical and technical expertise and our enduring success lies in the fact that our history is filled with examples of how we have met and exceeded the needs of machine and system builders.

We also design and build new devices for customers on a bespoke basis.

Our products are used by original equipment manufacturers operating in a diverse variety of sectors including shipping, construction, subsea operations, chocolate-makers and contact lens manufacturing equipment.

The demanding requirements of those machine and system builders, who need improved productivity, and performance to gain technical edges over their competition, means that we have built ourselves a reputation for quality and cutting edge innovation and design, developing a range of products which will enhance any system they are used in.

As industries evolve, there are always new and exciting technical challenges to meet and Yuken’s pro-active approach ensures that we will remain at the forefront of being a solutions provider.

Our History

1929 Uichi Yuki founded Yuki Mfg. Works, an automobile repair shop in Tokyo.
1940 Succeeded in producing hydraulic honing machines. Succeeded in producing hydraulic vane pumps and various types of hydraulic control valves, building up s base as a manufacturer of hydraulic equipment.
1956 Reorganized into Yuken Kogyo Co., Ltd. Capitall:¥6 million.
1960 Built the Fujisawa factory.
1964 Moved the head office to Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.
1969 Founded Taiwan Hydraulics Mfg. Co., Ltd. (joint venture).
1970 Opened the Research & Development Center and the Sagami factory in Kanagawa Prefecture (current Sagami factory).
1970 Listed its stock on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Capital:¥1.2 billion.
1976 Founded Yuken India Ltd. (joint venture).
1978 Founded Yuken Kogyo (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.
1979 Founded Hokuriku Yuken Co., Ltd. (sales company).
1980 Founded Yuken (U.K.) Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
1987 Founded Yuken Service.Co., Ltd.
2001 Founded Yuken Hydraulic (Dongguang) Co., Ltd. in China.
2004 Moved the head office to the Sagami plant. Integrated the Fujisawa factory into the Sagami plant. Built a new factory in Sagami (Head Office and Sagami Plant).
2006 Founded Yuken Hydraulics (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd. in China.
2007 Founded Yuken Korea Co., Ltd.
2010 Founded Yuken Kgyo (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
2012 Founded YUKEN SEA CO., LTD. in Thailand.
2013 Founded Yuken Kogyo (Foshan) Co., Ltd.

Our unit of specialised engineers have more than 130 years’ worth of experience between them, everything from enormous turnkey system builds right down to small power pack assembly and installations. We also have all-encompassing knowledge in system upgrades, renovation, and modifications.

Yuken’s engineers have carried out a wide range of pipe work installations, with working pressures of up to 200 MPA and 60000 PSI.

Amada Valve Repair

We are specialists in the overhaul, maintenance & supply of Amada valves. Yuken is the only authorised repair centre in Europe for our Amada valves, which are fitted onto punching presses.

We offer a friendly personal service, customised to meet specific client’s requirements, with a comprehensive service including; diagnostic testing and repair.
